Dua Lipa, Tame Impala and Fred again.. Reportedly in Talks for Coachella 2027

Coachella 2027 is already generating major excitement, even though the official lineup has yet to be announced.

According to a new report from industry publication Hits Daily Double, Dua Lipa and Tame Impala are expected to headline Coachella 2027, while British electronic star Fred again.. is reportedly being considered for the festival’s special “Returning to the Desert” slot.

The festival is scheduled to return to the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, across April 9–11 and April 16–18, 2027. However, Coachella and the artists involved have not officially confirmed the reported bookings.

Dua Lipa Could Make Her Coachella Debut

If the reports prove accurate, 2027 would mark a major milestone for Dua Lipa, as the pop superstar could finally take the Coachella stage for her first solo performance.

Although she has never performed a full solo set at the festival, Lipa previously appeared as a guest during Martin Garrix’s 2017 performance.

A headline appearance would also make sense given her continuing connection to Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker. Parker co-wrote and co-produced material for Lipa’s 2024 album Radical Optimism, and the two artists have continued to cross paths on stage. Lipa joined Parker at London’s O2 in May for a performance of their collaboration “Houdini.”

Tame Impala Could Return as a Headliner

For Tame Impala, Coachella would be familiar territory.

Kevin Parker’s psychedelic pop project has performed at the festival several times, including appearances in 2011, 2013 and 2015, before returning as a headliner in 2019.

The potential 2027 return would come after the release of Deadbeat, Tame Impala’s 2025 album, which saw Parker continue exploring dance and electronic influences.

The timing could also be particularly interesting for fans, with Tame Impala scheduled for UK and European arena shows in May and June 2027.

Fred again.. Could Take the ‘Returning to the Desert’ Slot

Fred again.. is another name attracting attention in the early Coachella rumours.

Rather than a traditional headline position, the British producer is reportedly being considered for the festival’s “Returning to the Desert” slot, a prominent position that has previously been used for major electronic acts.

Fred again.. already has a memorable Coachella history. In 2023, he joined Skrillex and Four Tet for a last-minute Weekend Two closing performance after Frank Ocean withdrew from the festival.

A return in 2027 would give him another opportunity to bring his highly immersive electronic show to the California desert.

BTS, SZA, Oasis and Radiohead Also Reportedly Being Considered

The rumours don’t stop there.

According to the same industry report, BTS, SZA, Oasis and Radiohead are among the artists reportedly being pursued for another major position on the lineup.

Of those names, SZA is currently considered the stronger possibility, while Oasis and Radiohead are reportedly less likely. BTS, meanwhile, is said to be a major target for Goldenvoice, the promoter behind Coachella.

A BTS appearance would be particularly significant. The K-pop group has returned to major live activity in 2026 with its ARIRANG era and world tour, meaning a Coachella performance could arrive at a huge moment for the group.

Oasis would be another potentially enormous booking. The Britpop legends have already fuelled speculation about another 2027 run, with Noel Gallagher recently hinting that the band could have something planned for next summer.

Radiohead, meanwhile, have also discussed plans to perform live again in 2027, although there is currently no confirmation that Coachella is part of those plans.

Miley Cyrus Reportedly Turned Down Coachella

One major name apparently won’t be joining the lineup.

Miley Cyrus was reportedly approached about headlining Coachella but turned down the offer. The news comes as she prepares to release her tenth studio album, Bass Persuades, and has announced two Hollywood Bowl performances in October.

For now, though, fans will have to wait for official confirmation.

With Dua Lipa, Tame Impala, Fred again.., BTS, SZA, Oasis and Radiohead all circulating in the rumour mill, Coachella 2027 could be shaping up to be one of the festival’s biggest editions yet.
