M’GOO explore multiple genres in their latest single ‘I Didn’t Want To Hear You Say “I’m Leaving”‘ from their upcoming concept album ‘LOVE AND ALL THAT _ _ _ _’. The single was inspired by a true story by Glen Washington, following the theme of ‘do we ever really know the person we love?’.
The lead vocalist and composer Mike Meighu uses a unique composing method where he finds inspiring material and from this he scores the music. The stripped back style is then re-written by the rest of the band from a fresh perspective so that all emotions and scenarios are explored. This unique method gives M’GOO an improvisational live style that blends jazz, rock and pop together.
‘I Didn’t Want To Hear You Say “I’m Leaving”’ follows the story of a couple due to be wed but once they visit a fortune teller their relationship falls apart. The captivating single taken from their upcoming concept album ‘LOVE AND ALL THAT _ _ _ _’ is also due to be released with a discussion podcast and video art.
