BIGBANG Makes Triumphant Return to Singapore After a Decade with XX: COSMOS World Tour

K-pop legends BIGBANG have made a spectacular return to Singapore, performing at the National Stadium on 17 October as part of their highly anticipated XX: COSMOS World Tour. Marking the group’s first concert in the city in ten years, the show brought together thousands of fans for a celebration of two decades of music, unforgettable performances and the group’s lasting influence on the global K-pop scene.

The concert was particularly significant as BIGBANG celebrated their 20th anniversary. Performing as a trio featuring G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung, the group demonstrated that their stage presence and musical chemistry remain as powerful as ever.

According to coverage by Channel NewsAsia, the atmosphere inside the National Stadium was electric, with fans waving their signature lightsticks and singing along to the group’s biggest hits throughout the evening.

A Three-Hour Celebration of BIGBANG’s Greatest Hits

The Singapore performance featured an extensive setlist combining BIGBANG classics with solo material from the three members. The three-hour show gave fans an opportunity to revisit some of the songs that helped establish the group as one of K-pop’s most influential acts.

With the group now performing as a trio, the arrangements also reflected their current musical dynamic. G-Dragon took on additional rap sections, while Taeyang and Daesung delivered the vocals.

Taeyang stood out with his powerful performance of “Haru Haru”, while his solo segment brought energetic choreography and impressive stage effects. Daesung entertained the audience with his humour and interaction with fans, while G-Dragon reminded everyone of his reputation as one of K-pop’s most distinctive performers through his delivery on tracks such as “Loser”.

The audience played an equally important role in the atmosphere, turning the stadium into a huge singalong and demonstrating the continued loyalty of BIGBANG’s international fanbase, known as V.I.P.

BIGBANG’s First Singapore Concert in Ten Years

The return carries particular significance for Singaporean fans. BIGBANG last performed in the city in 2016, making the October 2026 concert their first local appearance in a decade.

The group’s journey has undergone several changes since its formation in 2006. Originally a five-member act, BIGBANG now performs with G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung. Despite the changes in its lineup, the group continues to attract audiences across different generations.

Their influence extends beyond music, with their distinctive fashion, visual identity and energetic performances helping shape the development of modern K-pop.
