British R&B star Jorja Smith has officially entered a new chapter with the release of her highly anticipated third studio album, What Are The Odds.
Released today, August 21, 2026, through Smith’s own FAMM label, the 12-track project marks another evolution for one of the UK’s most distinctive voices. The album arrives as part of a major day for the singer, who is also co-headlining All Points East in London’s Victoria Park alongside Tems.
A New Dance-Focused Direction
While Smith has always blended R&B, soul and contemporary British sounds, What Are The Odds places a much stronger emphasis on the dancefloor.
The album explores UK garage, grime, 2-step, funky house, soulful house and Afro house, creating a more energetic sound while retaining the warm, distinctive vocals that have become central to Smith’s music. The entire album was produced by longtime collaborator P2J.
The result is a record designed as much for movement as for listening, reflecting Smith’s desire to create music that works in clubs, cars, headphones and everyday life.
Wizkid and Devlin Join the Album
What Are The Odds also features collaborations with two very different artists.
Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Wizkid appears on “Alive”, while UK grime veteran Devlin joins Smith on “This City”, a new interpretation of his 2010 track “London City”.
The collaborations help connect Smith’s London-rooted sound with wider international influences, particularly through the combination of UK grime and Afrobeats.
Other tracks on the album include “For Life”, “What Are The Odds”, “What’s Done Is Done”, “Pretend”, “The Way It Was”, “I Lied, You Lied”, “Dancing”, “Young Heart”, “Make It Your Home” and “When It Gets Like That”.
A Major Day for Jorja Smith
The album’s release coincides with Smith’s headline performance at All Points East 2026, where she is sharing top billing with Tems at London’s Victoria Park.
The timing gives fans attending the festival the opportunity to hear the new album on the same day it officially arrives. The line-up also includes artists such as Nia Archives, Ayra Starr, kwn and Odeal, making the event a major celebration of contemporary R&B, soul, Afrobeats and dance music.
Smith has also announced a major 2027 European and Australian tour, demonstrating that the new album will be followed by an extensive international live campaign.
Continuing Her UK Music Legacy
What Are The Odds follows Smith’s acclaimed albums Lost & Found and falling or flying.
Her previous three major releases have all reached the UK’s Official Albums Chart Top 10, with Lost & Found peaking at No. 3, Be Right Back at No. 9 and falling or flying at No. 3.
That track record has established Smith as one of the UK’s most important contemporary R&B artists, while her new dance-focused direction could introduce her music to an even broader audience.
With What Are The Odds, Jorja Smith is not simply returning with another R&B record — she is opening a new, more energetic chapter in her sound.
And with a major London performance taking place on the very day of its release, August 21 could become one of the defining days of Jorja Smith’s 2026 era.
