As the half-hearted title might suggest, Hitha‘s music comes from that magical, terrible place – the teenager’s mind. However, forget your snotty upstarts, old-before-their-time starlets and embarrassing faux-punks, Hitha is surprisingly normal and even more surprisingly doesn’t have a tale of woe to sing about.
Sensibly targeting music audiences of her own age (13! I was still playing with Star Wars figures!), Special is Hitha’s latest single, not describing her own talents but offer her thanks to those around her who go the extra mile. Aww. Combining effortlessly sweet pop melodies alongside some nicely subtle nods to her Indian classical music training (particularly the nifty use of flute), this is the kind of track which can melt even the stoniest of hearts.
