Andrea Di Giovanni Talks A Little About Himself – Get To Know Him Here!

  • Tell us a little bit about where you’re from?

I am originally from Rome (Italy) and I absolutely miss it a times; the weather it’s beautiful, food is amazing and I have all my friends and family over there. The city centre is also amusing with all the monuments, shops and river sides.

  • How has your location affected your music?

In a really weird way it hasn’t affected my music as much as I always looked abroad for international music; when I was a kid my dad made me listen to artist The Queen, Micheal Jackson, Marvin Gaye which all play a genre that wasn’t too popular in Italy.

  • What genre would you describe your music as?

My music is definitely pop mixed together with some electro/dance beats and some soul roots.

  • What are you listening too? What are your influences?

Right now I am very influenced by Ariana Grande’s new album, I am very captivated by the sound but also Beyoncé’s Lemonade.

My biggest influences when I write are Jess Glynne, Sam Smith and Coldplay.

  • Where can we see you play?

I will be playing this summer Tribfest on the Acoustic Marquee stage Saturday the 20th of August.

  • Are there any evocative personal experiences that come through in your music?

Absolutely yes! All of my songs are a reflection of my personal experience and what I’ve learnt from it; the personal experience is essential for an artist as it’s what is gonna make him/her write a song.

  • Tell us about your live setup?

I have drums, bass, electric guitar, keyboard and two backing vocalist; we also play along to backing tracks.

  • What’s next?

I’m releasing my Debut EP on the 15th of July but I am currently writing new songs and I can’t wait to get them done in the studio!
