The 2026 Latin Grammy nominations are officially here, and this year’s ceremony is shaping up to be a major celebration of the diversity and evolution of Latin music.

The Latin Recording Academy announced the nominees on September 16, with KAROL G, Rosalía, Jorge Drexler and CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso leading the nominations with seven nods each. Songwriter and producer Edgar Barrera leads the entire field with 10 nominations. 

The 27th Annual Latin Grammy Awards will take place on November 12, 2026, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. 

Rosalía, KAROL G and CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso Among the Biggest Nominees

Rosalía enters this year’s awards with her album LUX (Complete Works) competing for Album of the Year, while the album’s “La Perla,” featuring Yahritza y Su Esencia, is nominated for both Record of the Year and Song of the Year. 

KAROL G is also competing across several major categories, with her album Tropicoqueta receiving an Album of the Year nomination. She also appears in Record of the Year with Marco Antonio Solís for “Coleccionando Heridas.” 

Meanwhile, Argentine duo CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso have emerged as two of the night’s biggest contenders. Their album FREE SPIRITS is nominated for Album of the Year, while “Ha Ha” competes for Record of the Year and “Hasta Jesús Tuvo Un Mal Día,” featuring Sting, is nominated for Song of the Year.

The Album of the Year category brings together artists from across Latin music’s increasingly diverse landscape.

The nominees include:

The category reflects a particularly broad range of sounds, from reggaeton and urban music to alternative, singer-songwriter and contemporary Latin pop.

Record of the Year

The Record of the Year nominees include several of the artists dominating the overall nominations.

Among them are CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso’s “Ha Ha,” Jorge Drexler’s “¿Cómo Se Ama?,” Silvana Estrada’s “Dime,” KAROL G and Marco Antonio Solís’ “Coleccionando Heridas,” Mon Laferte’s “Femme Fatale,” Carín León’s “Desde Que Te Tengo,” Milo J’s “Niño” and Rosalía’s “La Perla.” 

The category also includes Loulou Gilberto’s “O Amor Nos Encontrou” and Elena Rose’s “Alma.”

Anitta and Carín León Among the Major Names

Brazilian superstar Anitta receives a major nomination for EQUILIBRIVM in Album of the Year, continuing her presence in the Latin Grammy’s major categories.

Carín León is also nominated for Album of the Year with Muda and Record of the Year with “Desde Que Te Tengo.” 

Other prominent artists appearing throughout the nominations include Mon Laferte, Silvana Estrada, Milo J, Rawayana, J Balvin, Ryan Castro, Young Miko, Bad Gyal, Rauw Alejandro and Bizarrap. 

Edgar Barrera Leads All Nominees

While four artists share the highest individual nomination total among performers, Edgar Barrera leads the overall field with 10 nominations.

The songwriter and producer has been recognised for his work with several major Latin artists, including KAROL G and Carín León. 

His nominations highlight the increasingly important role of songwriters and producers in shaping the Latin music landscape.

A New Generation Takes the Spotlight

The Best New Artist category also introduces a diverse group of emerging performers.

The 11 nominees are Delilah, FABIAN, Loulu Gilberto, Arath Herce, Macario Martínez, maye, Sofia Monroy, Kendall Peña, Dora Sanches, ARIA VEGA and Zeca Veloso. 

The category represents artists working across different styles and countries, reinforcing the international reach of the Latin Grammy Awards.

Daddy Yankee to Be Honoured as Person of the Year

The 2026 ceremony will also recognise Daddy Yankee as the Latin Recording Academy’s Person of the Year.

The honour marks a significant milestone, with Daddy Yankee becoming the first Latin urban artist to receive the distinction. 

His recognition adds another major Latin urban milestone to an already significant night for the genre.

When Are the 2026 Latin Grammys?

The 27th Annual Latin Grammy Awards will take place on Thursday, November 12, 2026, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The ceremony is scheduled to air live on Univision, with additional international broadcasting partners still to be announced. 

With Rosalía, KAROL G, CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso and Jorge Drexler each collecting seven nominations, and Edgar Barrera leading the overall field, the 2026 Latin Grammys already have an impressive lineup of contenders.

The winners will ultimately be decided during the November ceremony, but the nominations have officially set the stage for one of the biggest nights in Latin music.
