Black Tar Roses release lead single ‘Lady Noir’ from the upcoming album “Travelling Emporium”

Hey Readers of Sonic. It’s Monday and you know what that means, more great music coming your way this week. Starting off with the incredible Black Tar Roses and their impressive new single ‘Lady Noir’ from their latest album Travelling Emporium

I love nothing more than a song with meaning behind it and Black Tar Roses certainly take their listeners on quite the journey and use vivid imagery to tell the touching tale of the massage to his close friend, currently in the throes of addiction.

Another thing I admire about Black Tar Roses is how original and unique their style and sound is. It’s a sound that is not only instantly recognisable but will stick with you long after the track has played. This could be down to the harrowing storyline or just that it is great music.

Lady Noir’s accompanying video sees Darren and his fellow Black Tar Roses’ bandmates return to the boat for a message to his close friend, currently in the throes of addiction. “The single was written for a friend trapped in the grip of cocaine addiction and its video was shot on Olga – one of the boats in the Tectona Trust fleet and the last original Bristol pilot cutter to be built in Porthleven in 1909. Sally and I worked on the premise for the video together and the results speak for themselves.”

But readers of Sonic don’t take my word for it. ‘Lady Noir’ is out now and Travelling Emporium will be released on the 11/08. So make sure to pre-save this incredible album!
