Cradle of Filth Enter the Tea Market!?

It was always just a matter of time – or was it? – before diminutive metal band, Cradle of Filth developed their own brand of…tea?

Yes, no typos or misunderstandings, Dani Filth and the gang have worked alongside tea company, Pitch Black, to develop two delicious sounding blends – Sweetest Maleficia and Dark Blood. Here’s the company blurb:

FOUNDED IN 2017 PITCH BLACK NORTH LTD. WAS CREATED WITH THE INTENTION OF BEING AN EXPRESSIVE AND COLLABORATIVE OUTLET. TEA WAS JUST AN ACCESSORY OF THE CLOTHING BRAND AT FIRST BUT IT WAS NOT LONG BEFORE WE FELL IN LOVE WITH THE TEA BUSINESS. WE ARE A PURVEYOR OF FINE TEAS BROUGHT TO YOU IN DELIGHTFUL SINISTER FASHION, EVERY SMALL BATCH OF TEA IS HAND CRAFTED WITH EXTREME CARE WITH THE BEST INGREDIENTS TO ENSURE YOU HAVE THE BEST CUP EVERY TIME!

SATANIC TEA COMPANY

SATANIC VALUES HAVE BEEN A PART OF OUR CORE BELIEFS IN OUR PERSONAL LIVES AND THROUGH THIS COMPANY. WE ARE NOT HERE TO INFORM BUT CHALLENGE YOU TO LOOK FROM A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE.

They wrote that in caps, not us I hasten to add. You won’t be surprised to learn the two teas are named after tracks by the band with “Dark Blood – a traditional English breakfast tea “for the uplift” and Sweetest Maleficia – a blueberry vanilla English breakfast tea “for the wind-down””.

For non-Canadians, the process of obtaining is not a cheap one (if fact it’s not even very affordable for locals) with a 50 gram packet of loose leaf tea costing $15 or a bundle of both for $28 before shipping. Hats off for originality.
