One of the more eye-popping music videos of this summer – well-intentioned (the message is to communicate and not give in to hate) but at the same time, possibly suggesting that sexual assault can all be resolved with a chat and a laugh. It’s made all the more peculiar by the fact the music doesn’t fit well with it at all, a nice little nu-soul/electro effort that has enough of a chilled element to fit on radio and on the car stereo.
Phonix’s new track is My Love and My Teacher, the video to which is directed by Antonio Funaro, and stars Caitlin-Rose Lacey, best know for playing the role of Kennedy in the Disney series, Find Me in Paris
