It has been reported that the wake for Mark E. Smith, the lead singer for seminal alternative band, The Fall, has been marred by scenes of bottle-hurling and scuffles. Whilst this may strike some as alarming, disrespectful and unseemly, it could scarcely be more fitting for a man who shunned mainstream behaviour at every opportunity. Bravo, all concerned.
