John Fogerty Celebrates 20th Anniversary of Classic “Blue Moon Swamp” Album

Known for creating the soundtrack of a generation, legendary singer/songwriter and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member, John Fogerty, is set to release a new solo album and reissue his renowned solo catalogue.

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of his Grammy Award-winning album ‘Blue Moon Swamp’, the album will be made available for the first time ever on limited edition 180g blue vinyl plus standard CD and digital formats and is part of an extensive re-issue campaign of five key albums from his acclaimed solo recording career. Additional releases include the chart-topping, multi-platinum, Grammy nominated ‘Centerfield’, and the gold-certified and Grammy nominated albums ‘Premonition’, ‘Eye of the Zombie’ and ‘Deja Vu (All Over Again)’.

Originally released in 1997, ‘Blue Moon Swamp’ won Best Rock Album at the 40th Grammy Awards in 1998, with the song ‘Blueboy’ receiving a Grammy nomination for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance that same year. ‘Blue Moon Swamp’ would go on to receive gold certification by the RIAA with the album charting in 11 countries, reaching No.1 in Finland and Sweden. The CD features the original 12 tracks from 1997 release plus 2 bonus tracks from 2004 reissue and also includes new album artwork approved by John Fogerty.

As co-founder of Creedence Clearwater Revival, Fogerty’s career spans 50 years and he is hailed as one of the most influential musicians in rock history. As the writer, singer and producer of numerous classic hits including ‘Born on the Bayou’, ‘Green River’, ‘Proud Mary’, and ‘Bad Moon Rising’, Fogerty has been honoured as one of the 100 Greatest Guitarists, 100 Greatest Songwriters, and 100 Greatest Singers by Rolling Stone. Earning induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Songwriters Hall of Fame, and Baseball Hall of Fame, he is also a New York Times best-selling author for his memoir, Fortunate Son: My Life, My Music.

In 2016, following two sold-out, critically acclaimed Las Vegas residencies, Fogerty returned to the city last year for a series of live shows with his debut at the Wynn’s Encore Theatre performing John Fogerty: Fortunate Son In Concert, produced by Julie Fogerty and directed by Ken Ehrlich and Raj Kapoor. He is currently in the studio working on material for a new album to be released later this year with live dates expected including festival and arena headline shows.
