Tell us a little bit about where you’re from?
I am from Berkshire. I have lived in and around the Thames Valley all my life, I now live just outside Reading.
How has your location affected your music?
Reading has a good local music scene and obviously the Reading Festival attracts music lovers to the town every year which is cool. Also the location of Reading is good cause its easy to get to other cities to perform such as London, Oxford, Bristol etc.
What genre would you describe your music as?
Alternative Indie/Rock music.
What are you listening too? What are your influences?
My most recent purchase is Blackstar by Bowie. Amazing! My influences are anything from Oasis to Pearl Jam, Mumford and sons to Bruce Springsteen, Rage Against The Machine to Robert Plant……. As long as the music has ‘roots’ to it, I’ll probably love it!
Where can we see you play?
My next gig is at Readipop festival in Reading on Friday the 8th of July. Also my band are joining me for a full set in Mau Mau, Portabello rd in London on Saturday the 28th of August.
Are there any evocative personal experiences that come through in your music?
My writing is very personal to me. I write about personal emotional experiences which have happened to me such as the passing of my father or people close to me who have been through traumas and how they deal with their lives. I tend to observe my surroundings….. Emotional, Political and Environmental, they are all inspiring.
Tell us about your live setup?
When I’m not playing an acoustic set I’m joined by Lead guitarist Dave Jurgens, Bass Player Rob Jacques and Drummer Tom Farrelly.
The release of the 2nd single of the Album will be Later on this summer. We are always playing locally and throughout the UK, and we hope to tour through the rest of Europe sometime in the near future.
