In terms of the promotion of peace through art Loopexx are pretty much the John and Yoko of the 21st century. The Austrian musicians Eric K. and Pipo AKA James Philip Platzer have created a unique project melting their separate musical pasts consisting of beatboxing and rock music into a beautiful message of respect, love and tolerance. As true supporters of social change the duo puts their beliefs into practice by donating their entire profit to charity. Eric and Pipo’s motto is that “making music is a gift that can inspire other creatives. If we can use that gift to do something good then we have achieved our goal.” In their aim to spread the positive vibes around the globe they are now releasing their first single ‘Here We Are, There We Go’, an emphatic pop/rock tune they dedicated to refugees.
While charity is certainly always needed Loopexx couldn’t have appeared on the scene at a more relevant time. With political dissatisfaction all around us this band is setting an example of hope and reminds us that good music can do so much more than just please our ears.
The single ‘Here Were Are, There You Go’ will be out on 4th March 2016.
