A band that needs no introduction on the Perth music scene; Miles Away are coming out of hibernation after remaining relatively quiet for the last few years. With all members back in Perth after long stints overseas, Bad Noose Independent Press have thrown together a last minute show with some other West Coast friends as a taster of what’s to come from the band in 2015. Miles Away will be hitting Amplifier bar for their first hometown show in over a year this Australia Day long weekend, joined by Mindless (playing their final show), Idle Eyes, Losing Grip and Bounty Hunter.

It’s set to be a busy year for Miles Away. The follow up to their last full length record ‘Endless Roads’ released in 2010, as yet untitled, was recently recorded in Boston, MA with Jay Maas (Defeater) and is planned for release later in 2015. Today the band have also announced pre-orders for a new 7” single titled ‘Weathered’ to be released in February/March. The 7” is limited to 1000 copies and to be self-released on their own MA Imprint, following on from the previous ‘Make It Count’ 10” and ‘Memory Embraced’ 7” – also released independently by the band themselves.
