Miley Cyrus Gets Romantic With Maxx Morando in New “Let’s Get Married” Video

Miley Cyrus is putting her real-life love story front and centre with the release of the new music video for “Let’s Get Married,” one of the standout tracks from her newly released tenth studio album, Bass Persuades.

Released on Friday, September 18, the black-and-white visual was directed by Mert Alas and filmed at Los Angeles’ iconic Chateau Marmont. The video features Cyrus alongside her fiancé, musician Maxx Morando, turning the song’s romantic theme into an intimate on-screen celebration of their relationship.

Miley Cyrus and Maxx Morando Take Over the Chateau Marmont

Throughout the video, Cyrus and Morando are shown spending time together at the famous Hollywood hotel, from cuddling and sharing ice cream to taking a bath and enjoying a private photoshoot.

The visual also shifts into a more chaotic party atmosphere, with friends joining the couple for a night of dancing and celebration. The contrast between the intimate scenes and the energetic party gives the video a playful, cinematic quality.

Rather than presenting a traditional wedding, the video focuses on the idea of being completely caught up in love — matching the song’s spontaneous attitude towards marriage.

A Very Personal Song

“Let’s Get Married” is particularly personal because Cyrus is engaged to Morando in real life.

The couple have been together for around six years and confirmed their engagement in December 2025. Cyrus has previously spoken openly about their relationship and the unusual way she thinks about the idea of marriage.

Speaking to Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Cyrus explained that the song came from conversations with Morando about the possibility of getting married and even joking about whether either of them could eventually get “the ick.”

The result is a song that approaches marriage less like a formal milestone and more like an impulsive celebration of being in love.

Bass Persuades Marks a New Chapter

The video arrives alongside the release of Bass Persuades, Cyrus’ 10th studio album.

The record follows her previous album Something Beautiful and represents another change in direction for the singer. It is also her first album released under the name Miley, rather than using her full professional name, Miley Cyrus.

Cyrus has described Bass Persuades as a record that reflects where she is in her life right now. She has also characterised the album as a layered love story, with romance forming one of its central threads.

The quick turnaround was meaningful for the singer, who said the album was created in less than a year and allowed her music to develop alongside her life in real time.

Hollywood Bowl Shows Already Sold Out

The new era is also moving beyond the studio.

Cyrus will perform two sold-out shows at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 16 and 18 in support of Bass Persuades. According to Warner Music, nearly 1.5 million fans joined the ticket queue, highlighting the demand surrounding her return to live performance.

With Bass Persuades now available and “Let’s Get Married” giving fans a glimpse into Cyrus’ personal world, the new era is shaping up to be one of her most openly romantic chapters yet.
