Lena Younes, a multifaceted artist renowned for her roles as a singer-songwriter, yoga facilitator, and breathwork practitioner, has announced the forthcoming release of her debut album, Ways of the Dreamer. This album is a profound exploration of themes such as healing, motherhood, and ancestral connections. With its release scheduled for May 2025, the album promises to offer listeners a transformative experience.
The lead single, “Presence,” serves as an emotional tribute to Younes’ late mother, who passed away under tragic circumstances a day before her granddaughter’s first birthday. The single encapsulates Younes’ reflections on the enduring bonds between generations, despite physical absence. “Presence arrived about a month post my mother’s funeral and expresses my meditation on connecting with ancestors, whether known briefly or not at all. My daughter, like me, will grow up without her grandmother, yet she embodies her spirit,” Younes revealed.
The creation of Ways of the Dreamer spans over six years, marked by personal loss, transformative experiences, and the profound journey of motherhood. Lena’s compositional creativity was revitalized following an intensive conscious connected breathwork session, which unleashed a flood of inspiration that transformed personal adversities into art.
The album’s production was executed remotely, with Sebastian Brice overseeing the process from his studio in Frome, UK, while Younes recorded vocals in the unique environment of her father’s wardrobe in Tavira, Portugal. Each track within the album is crafted with raw emotion, offering listeners a pathway to introspection and healing.
