Leeds based artist, Jamie Berry, has made a name for himself in recent years with his unique brand of electro-swing music that has garnered him with critical praise and millions of online plays, particularly on his famed track ‘Delight.’ However, Jamie is now taking a turn in his music career, diverging towards a more house-pop led sound that sees him collaborating with Georgia Thursting for his new single, ‘Bolder’.
Taken from his upcoming album, Frenzy, ‘Bolder’ is the kind of tune that has you hooked straight from the off, taking you on a journey from Georgia’s sweetly infectious vocals to a ‘bold’ brass filled chorus, all the way to a reggae infused break down. Jamie stated that ‘the aim of this single was to keep elements of the electro-swing genre while also moving to a wider audience’ and it is easy to see how ‘Bolder’ will appeal to the masses; it’s a perfect party track that’s sure to get people’s feet moving.
Taking inspiration from a smorgasbord of sources, including the likes of Blondie, the Human League and Toots and the Maytals, Jamie is a true genre blender who knows exactly what he’s doing. You can even catch him doing his stuff at this years Boomtown Fair festival in August.
‘Bolder’ is set for release on 9th June 2017, but until then, you can check out some of jamie’s previous work here on Soundcloud:
